Itinerary

Morning / Gaziantep: Upon arrival in Gaziantep, we visit the world-renowned Zeugma Mosaic Museum to explore stunning ancient Roman mosaics. Afterward, we walk through the historic Copper Makers Bazaar and Almacı Bazaar, enjoying a traditional pistachio coffee break at historic Tahmis Coffeehouse. Halfeti Boat Tour: Following lunch, we depart for Halfeti. We take a scenic boat trip on the Euphrates River to view the sunken city remnants, Rumkale, and the sunken minaret in Savasan Village. Evening: After visiting Halfeti, known for its rare black roses, we head to our hotel in Sanliurfa. (Optional evening traditional Sıra Gecesi music and dinner show).

Morning / Harran & Urfa: After breakfast at the hotel, we visit Harran to see its unique conical beehive houses, ancient city walls, and ruins of the world's first university. Next, we explore Sanliurfa city center, visiting the Pools of Abraham (Balıklıgöl) and Ayn-ı Zeliha Lake. Gobeklitepe: We proceed to UNESCO-listed Gobeklitepe, widely recognized as the oldest known temple complex in human history. Mardin: In the late afternoon, we arrive in historical Mardin, a stunning convergence of diverse cultures and architectures. Walk through its narrow stone-paved streets to admire the Grand Mosque (Ulu Cami), Zinciriye Medrese, and enjoy relaxing tea with views stretching across the Mesopotamian plain. Hotel overnight. (Optional extension: Dara Ancient City tour).

Morning / Midyat: After breakfast, we travel to Midyat, the heart of the Tur Abdin region. We visit the Mor Gabriel (Deyrul Umur) Monastery—one of the oldest surviving Syriac Orthodox monasteries—and tour the historic Midyat Guesthouse. Enjoy free time at local silver (Telkari) workshops. Diyarbakır: We continue to Diyarbakır to see the imposing historic city walls, Keçi Bastion, the iconic Ten-Arched Bridge over the Tigris River, and the historic Grand Mosque (Ulu Cami). After visiting the birthplace house of poet Cahit Sıtkı Tarancı, we check into our hotel.

Morning / Mount Nemrut: Following breakfast, we travel toward Kahta. Transferring to local minibuses, we ascend to the summit of Mount Nemrut to witness the colossal statues and royal tomb sanctuary built by King Antiochus I of Commagene. Historical Landmarks & Departure: After photographing the Roman-era Cendere Bridge and the Karakuş Tumulus, we transfer to the airport for our return flight, concluding our tour with fond memories.

Because large tour buses are not permitted to drive all the way to the summit, travelers transfer to local shared minibuses at Kahta to reach the Nemrut archaeological site. This local transfer fee is typically excluded from base packages.
